IMD: Rainfall is expected in several districts of Chhattisgarh until 20 March

Earlier on Saturday, India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for multiple districts in Chhattisgarh as they predicted light to moderate rain with thundershowers.

As per the statement given by IMD Meteorologist HP Chandra, the disturbance is approaching which can led to a cyclonic circulation in Rajasthan.

In his statement, Chandra stated that, “A Western Disturbance is approaching, resulting in the formation of an induced cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan, as a result of the combined effect of both, the region is receiving abundant moisture from the Bay of Bengal. Only one Dronika has passed from Karnataka to Jharkhand via North Chhattisgarh, resulting in light to moderate rain in some areas of the state today.”

In another news, due to a sudden change in the weather, CM of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel’s visit was cancelled. He was scheduled to visit Kondagaon. After his visit was cancelled, the CM participated in the programme through video conferencing.
