12th Jashn-e-Adab Sahityotsav Art, Culture and Literature Festival 2023 unfolded with some excellent sessions on 25 February at IGNCA, Janpath, Delhi. This cultural extravaganza was organised by Jashn-e-Adab Sahityotsav in association with Ministry of Culture (GoI) and in collaboration with IGNCA (Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts) to celebrate the 75th Independence Year – Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava and in honour of the G20 Summit.
During a lively session Varun Badola said, “If the cameraperson is bad you can still shoot, if the director is bad you can still shoot, if your actor is bad you can still shoot. But if the writing is bad then you cannot make something good.”
The three-day cultural event was held at IGNCA, Janpath Building, New Delhi.
The second day began with Baitbazi – A traditional and fast-paced game of Urdu Poetry. The audience was entertained by the interesting and engaging conversation during the ‘Samaj Ka Aaina – OTT’ discussion featuring actor Varun Badola and actor Faisal Malik with Dr. Aamna Mirza’. The evening became musical with the soothing Sufi Singing by popular singer Sonam Kalra.
Another high point of the day was the staging of ‘PIANO’ – a play adapted, directed & designed by Raghuvir Yadav. The day came to an end with the mesmerising ‘Sufiyana Shaam’ by playback singer Kavita Seth.
