A blood donation camp was organized on the occasion of the 75th birthday of former Union Minister and popular leader Venod Sharma, who was MLA from Ambala for 10 years. Hundreds of supporters of Venod Sharma donated blood on this occasion and wished long life for him.
On this occasion, Venod Sharma, Ambala Mayor Shakti Rani Sharma, MP Kartikeya Sharma and other family members met supporters and together encouraged the people who donated blood. Meanwhile, the supporters expressed their happiness by cutting birthday cake. Hundreds of supporters donated blood in the blood donation camp organized at Karna Palace in Ambala city.
Supporters appeared since morning during the blood donation camp. The situation was such that the team from Ambala City Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantt Civil Hospital, PGI Chandigarh, Mission Hospital and Sanjeevani Blood Bank had reached to collect blood. During this, former Union Minister Venod Sharma, Mayor Shakti Rani Sharma and MP Kartikeya Sharma met the supporters and encouraged them by giving batches and certificates to the people who donated blood. During this, special arrangements of milk, fruits and food were made for the supporters who donated blood.
On this occasion, former Union Minister Venod Sharma said that this shows the love of the people of Ambala that a huge blood donation camp was organized on his birthday and everyone should donate blood. Along with this, he said that many people have made many records by donating blood. Venod Sharma said that donating blood is a noble thing and it is a service. “Blood donation done with a sense of noble service which saves.This is the work of the society and it is a good work,” he added.
MP Kartikeya Sharma said that organizing blood donation camp is such an initiative which reminds us what is our responsibility towards the society. At the same time, he said that on the birthday of his father, former Union Minister Venod Sharma, what could have been better than helping people. “There is a lot of enthusiasm among the supporters regarding the blood donation camp and surely this blood donation will help many people,” he said. The MP thanked all the doctors, the team accompanying them as well as the supporters, who contributed in making this blood donation camp a success.
Ambala Mayor Shakti Rani Sharma said that there is no bigger noble service than blood donation and today the blood donation done during this camp will definitely help in saving someone’s life. She said that often in accidents people are admitted to the hospital and they need blood donation in many cases and the blood donation done by the people through these camps definitely proves to be a life saver at that time. Regarding this camp organized on the birthday of former Union Minister Venod Sharma, Shakti Rani Sharma said that definitely it is the love of the supporters and people of Ambala for him that the camp has been organized on such a large scale.
