The 10th Global Conclave of the Association of Healthcare Providers concluded on Saturday at RL Swaranakar Auditorium of Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology, Sitapura. Hospital owners, Administrators, Managers, Scientists and Nursing Managers including eminent personalities from the medical field from across the country participated in the two-day conference.


Giving information, AHPI Director General Dr Girdhar Gyani and President Dr Alexander Thomas said that private hospitals have a major share in the medical sector in the country. Even today 80% of super speciality services are being provided in private hospitals in the country. Due to the Universal Health Coverage schemes of the Central and State Governments, private hospitals are facing major financial problems. He said that the cost of treatment services per bed in government hospitals comes to around ₹ 8500 which is more in private hospitals. He demanded that billing must be done in government hospitals to give information about the treatment cost. So that the patients can get information about the cost of their treatment. Also, it can be compared with private sector hospitals. The government should fix the prices of government health insurance schemes on the basis that private hospitals can benefit from quality medical services.
Can be made available to the general public uninterruptedly. He has also demanded the governments increase the budget share of the expenditure on medical services. He told that AHPI has 21 thousand members in 20 states in the country.


The organizers of the conference Dr Ashok Khandaka and Dr Vikas Chandra Swaranakar told that in the conference, the concept of making India a Vishvaguru of health care in the coming 20 years, artificial intelligence, efficient economic management, maximum use of IT and data, advanced technology, patient satisfaction and safety of health care workers The problems related to it were discussed in detail. He informed that the speakers also shared information about the processes related to making treatment affordable through portable imaging and diagnostic services, work should be done in the direction of quality, technology, patient safety and medical tourism.


He told that the conference was inaugurated by Rajya Sabha MP Mr Ghanshyam Tiwari and Dr ML Swarnakar. Dr Vedprakash Mishra, Dr C. M. Manjunath, Dr Shanmuganandan, Dr Atul Kochhar, Dr AK Dewan, Dr Vaibhav Kapoor, Dr Anupam Sibbal, Dr Sandeep Budhiraja, Dr Harsh Mahajan, Dr Sathya Sriram, Dr KS Sachdev, Dr A. K Dhawan, Dr Kamini Walia, Dr Rakesh Gupta, Dr Ravindra Karanjekar and many renowned private individuals from across the country head of medical institutions addressed. More than 600 delegates from across the country participated in the event.
