Chhattisgarh: Endangered Indian Wolf spotted in Bastar

An endangered Indian Wolf was recently seen in the forest area of Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Bastar district. According to the information, the Indian Wolf has been listed as a Schedule I species in the Wildlife Protection Act (WPA), 1972 due to its extremely low numbers.

As per the Director of Kanger Ghati National Park, Ganveer Dhammshil, the sighting in the jungles of Bastar is a matter of pleasure. Efforts are being made to save the animals.
