Harry’s memoir sheds light on his personal account of difficulties he faced while coping with his mother, Princess Diana’s death, his time in the military – when he said he killed 25 Taliban insurgents while serving in Afghanistan – and his conflicts with the press. Above all, the memoir elucidates Prince Harry’s conflicting relationship with his royal family which has been hounding ever since he and Meghan stepped down from official duties in 2020 to move to California to forge a new life. However, spokespeople for King Charles and Prince William have refused to comment. Here are some of the key revelations in the memoir:
BRAWL WITH BROTHER WILLIAM
Harry mentioned in his memoir that how an argument between both the brothers about Meghan took an ugly turn when William attacked him and grabbed his collar. “He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. Prince Harry acknowledged that he consumed drugs while he was a teenager. “It wasn’t very fun, and it didn’t make me feel especially happy as seems to happen to others, but it did make me feel different, and that was my main objective. While referring to the first meeting with Camilia, now Queen Consort, Harry in another section of his memoir said that though they had approved Camilia yet asked their father not to marry her as Diana blamed Camilia for the break-up of her marriage. “Despite the fact that Willy and I asked him not to do it, my father went ahead. Despite the bitterness and sadness we felt in closing another loop in the history of our mother, we understood this was irrelevant.” Harry wrote.
