With 10k Covid-19 cases in a day, Maharashtra crosses 7-lakh-mark

With 10k Covid-19 cases in a day, Maharashtra crosses 7-lakh-mark

Witnessing the highest number of coronavirus cases, the total number of positive cases in Maharashtra has reached to 7,03,823 including 5,14,790 recoveries and 1,65,921 active cases. Meanwhile, the state recorded 10,425 new Covid-19 cases and 329 deaths in last 24 hours.

 Delhi recorded 1,544 new Covid-19 cases, 1,155 recoveries and 17 deaths in last 24 hours. Total number of cases now stands at 1,64,071 including 1,47,743 recovered cases. West Bengal recorded 2,964 new Covid-19 cases and 58 deaths in last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 1,44,801 including 27,349 active cases. The state has recorded 1,14,543 recoveries and 2,909 deaths.

Haryana recorded 1,148 new Covid-19 cases, 1,091 recoveries and 10 deaths in last twenty-four hours, taking total cases to 56,608 including 46,496 recoveries and 623 deaths. Meanwhile, the death toll due to Covid-19 in Punjab rose to 1,178 as 49 more people succumbed to the disease, while the infection tally climbed to 44,577 as 1,293 fresh cases were detected in the state.

With 60,975 people getting infected in a day, India’s Covid-19 tally rose to 31,67,323, while recoveries surged to 24,04,585 pushing the recovery rate to 75.92 per cent. The death toll climbed to 58,390 with 848 fatalities being reported in last 24-hours.
