SC dismisses PIL on homoeopathy treatment for Covid

The Supreme Court has dismissed a PIL filed by two petitioners, Dr Ravi M. Nair and Dr Ashok Kumar Das, who were seeking directions from the Central Government for permitting homoeopathic treatment of mild cases of Covid-19. The bench, comprising of Chief Justice of India S.A. Bobde and Justices A.S. Bopanna and V. Ramasubramanian, dismissed the plea but allowed the petitioners the liberty to approach the Delhi High Court. In their petition, the two homoeopathic physicians claimed that, based on their “observational research”, there are certain homoeopathic medicines which could help in preventing and combating the novel coronavirus.
