Tripura CM Manik Saha interacts with recipients of government assistance, solicits their opinions

Dr. Manik Saha, the chief minister of Tripura, met with several beneficiaries from various government programmes on Tuesday in Dhanpur and other rural areas to get their feedback.

Residents were taken aback by CM Saha’s appearance as he walked door-to-door, despite having a busy schedule, and spoke with the families to ascertain whether they were receiving the benefits of the government programmes. One of the recipients, 62-year-old Archana Saha, a resident of North Sarasima Gram Panchayat, was overwhelmed following her encounter with the CM. She revealed to CM Saha that she and her family formerly resided in a kutcha house.

“It was my dream to have a house, but because of financial constraints, I never thought I would ever be able to build a house. It’s only because of this government it has become a reality,” she said.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY) program, she received a pucca house. There is a toilet and a free water connection in the home.

“I’m overjoyed to see the happy faces of people like Archana. It’s all because of the schemes launched by the Center under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” said CM Manik Saha while speaking to reporters.

The residence of Anita Debnath, a resident of Dhanpur in the Sepahijala district, was also visited by CM Saha in order to determine whether or not all of the schemes had been made available.

Debnath informed CM Saha of the advantages of government programmes that her family members had attained with the help of appropriate advice and expressed her satisfaction with the steps taken by the government to advance the interests of the people.

“We have been given benefits for my 22-year-old physically challenged son, including a house under the PMAY scheme with tap-water connection, toilet facility, and electricity connection. This has given us hope for our lives,” she said.
The residents were also informed about government schemes that were available and easily accessible, and they were also informed about fairs being organised for the benefit of people at every locality and subdivision to ensure maximum reach and access to government schemes for the citizens.
