Garbage Mountains in Delhi due to BJP’s bad deeds: Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal went to the MCD-run Ghazipur landfill to inspect the Ghazipur landfill and accuse the BJP-led MCD of dumping garbage on Delhi’s roads. Accusing the BJP of dumping three mountains of garbage on the people of Delhi, CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “We are at the Ghazipur Landfill as we speak, and the stench here is unbearable. We can only imagine the travesty being faced by the residents of the nearby areas here. Despite the size of these landfills, they don’t hold garbage exclusively with them.”
Addressing the media, the Aam Aadmi Party chief launched a scathing attack against the BJP and said “My appeal to the supporters of BJP is – “Think a little. What did BJP give to Delhi except mountains of dirt and garbage? Forget your party once and vote for the country.” Kejriwal said that the Ghazipur garbage mountain is mountain of BJP’s bad deeds and years of corruption in civic bodies. “MCD poll will be fought on garbage issue. They (BJP) gave 3 garbage mountains to Delhi during 15-yr-rule in civic bodies”, Kejriwal said in retaliation to Amit Shah’s statement that the AAP is responsible for the heaps of garbage in the city and BJP will give a reply in Delhi MCD polls.
He also accused the central government of not paying any money to the MCD. While accusing the BJP, he said, “Out of the 2 lac crores, 1 lac crores was paid by the Delhi government to the MCD. Where did it go? All these Union Ministers come to Delhi and accuse us of not extending help to BJP’s MCD. How much money did the centre give them? In the last 15 years, the Centre has not even paid any money to the MCD. The Centre pays funds to every single municipal corporation in the country but not the MCD.”
On the other hand, former state president and MP Manoj Tiwari also visited the Yamuna River to bring forth the pollution level and flow of toxic foam in Yamuna. Targeting, the AAP government, he said, “About 50000 litres of poisonous chemicals have been seized and a complaint has also been lodged with the police. Such chemicals were released by Delhi Jal board officials.”
Along with MP Manoj Tiwari, MP Parvesh Sahib Singh and senior leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa, they also reached the site to inquire into the claims of cleaning the Yamuna by the AAP government. A clip circulating on Twitter showed a white froth of ammonia phosphorus floating on the Yamuna.
