Adani Group Chairman and Founder, Gautam Adani on Friday announced to invest Rupees 65,000 crore over the next 5 to 7 years in Rajasthan and create 40,000 direct and indirect jobs in the state. The Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan government has organised the two-day Invest Rajasthan 2022 summit to increase job opportunities in the state which is taking place at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Along with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, many industrialists took part in this business summit including Gautam Adani, Laxmi Niwas Mittal of Arcelor Company and others.
Speaking at the Invest Rajasthan summit 2022, Adani made the announcement of Rupees 65,000 crore in investment and 40,000 job opportunities in Rajasthan. The Adani Group has already invested over Rs 35,000 crore across multiple industrial sectors in the state of Rajasthan, he said during his speech.
“Continuing our investment in the renewables business, another 10,000 megawatts, with an investment of Rs 50,000 crore, is under implementation – and this will be commissioned progressively over the next 5 years. In this context – just a week ago – we also achieved commercial operation of the world’s largest wind-solar hybrid power plant – and it is here, in Rajasthan,” Gautam Adani said at Invest Rajasthan 2022 Summit.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot asserted that the schemes and policies of the state government are investor-friendly and that the exemption for MSMEs has now been increased to five years from three years.
“Electricity used to twinkle in the palaces of Rajas and Maharajas with the help of generator…Now, more than 23,000 megawatts of electricity is being generated in Rajasthan from 13 megawatts,” he said.
