CWG: PV Sindhu outplayed canada to beg for Gold

P V Sindhu of India downed Michelle Li of Canada 21-15, 21-13 to win the women’s singles gold medal at the Commonwealth Games on Monday.

In the first game, Sindhu jumped out to an early 17-12 lead after leading 11-8 at the half. Despite Li’s valiant efforts, Sindhu won the match 21-15. Lakshya Sen of India and Tze Yong Ng of Malaysia will compete in the men’s singles final.

Later on in the day, the men’s doubles final would pit the Indian team of Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty against the English team of Ben Lane/Sean Vendy.

The tenth day of the Common Wealth Games, 2022, witnessed the laudable victory of the Indians across all the sports, including hockey, squash, table tennis, boxing and athletics, moving forward to the final day to cap off with some gold.
