IMD issues heavy rain alerts in many states of the country

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy rain in many states from the mountains to the plains. According to IMD, heavy rains are expected in Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka till Thursday.

At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in many places including Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh. On July 29 and 30, heavy rainfall is expected over Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur.

According to the IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain from the hilly areas to the plains for the next few days. From Delhi to Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand, there may be continuous rain in other states of the country. It has been raining in Uttarakhand for the past several days. Due to this many difficulties are being faced. IMD has issued a yellow alert for many districts of Uttarakhand for Wednesday.

Meanwhile, due to incessant rains in many areas of Rajasthan, the problem of waterlogging has arisen in many places. Due to heavy rains and waterlogging in most places in the Jodhpur district, the District Collector has declared a holiday in all private and government schools today.

According to IMD light rain accompanied by a thunderstorm is expected in most of the districts of Bihar. Monsoon is expected to become active in the state after July 30.

However, Delhi-NCR is expected to get relief from the heat this week and there is a possibility of rain in Delhi on Wednesday.
