The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership has prepared a plan to take the central leaders to each assembly constituency and hold a big rally in the run up to Gujarat assembly elections. As soon as the Monsoon session ends, the work on Gujarat polls will pick pace. With 182 assembly seats in fray and BJP being in power in the state, the party is leaving no stone unturned to retain them. On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has intensified preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in Gujarat. AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will visit Surat, Gujarat on 21 July to announce the first guarantee for the people of Gujarat.

BJP had started preparations in Gujarat last April with the multiple visits of several party leaders. Now, the party is going to prepare for election rallies in all assembly constituencies in the state after monsoon. According to sources, the party has decided that at least one central leader will hold a major rally in each assembly seat before the main election campaign begins. Union ministers and national office-bearers, chief ministers of various states and other prominent leaders will be involved in the campaigning.

It is worth mentioning that the BJP had to face a tough fight in Gujarat in the last assembly elections after the party leadership changed the entire government in Gujarat last year. Furthermore, the Congress weakened after the death of state Congress leader Ahmed Patel.

Despite this, BJP is putting full strength in the election preparations. A prominent leader of the party said that the Lok Sabha elections are also going to be held in after a year and a half of this assembly election. In such a situation, the strategy of the party is to increase its strength at every booth.

Meanwhile, the enthusiasm of the AAP has increased after the government formation in Punjab. The party is making full preparations to enter Gujarat and Rajasthan. For this, AAP leaders are presenting the ‘Delhi Model’ to the people. In this order, sources say that Arvind Kejriwal can make many big promises to Gujarat during his Surat visit.

The Aam Aadmi Party had earlier announced the names of 6098 office bearers for the Gujarat assembly elections. 148 workers were appointed at the state level, 53 at the Lok Sabha level, 1509 at the district committee and 4488 at the assembly level.

Kejriwal, who visited Gujarat earlier this year, appealed to the public to vote for AAP. He promised the people of Gujarat free electricity, free education and good healthcare. Along with this, he also appealed to the people, who are angry with BJP and Congress. to join AAP.
