An encounter has broken out between Punjab police and two unidentified assailants who are accused to be the gangsters who shot the popular Punjabi singer, Siddhu Moosewala, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Punjab Police anti-gangster task force was tailing the two unidentified assailants before the encounter broke out at Bhakna village. According to reposts, the areas were sealed off and people were told to stay inside.

Sidhu Moosewala’s manager, was denied anticipatory bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on July 18. He is alleged to be involved in Akali’s leader, Vicky Middukher’s, murder.

The report of the investigation conducted by the Punjab police has established concrete evidence pointing out a prime facia case against Shagun Preet Singh.

The patiala house court of Delhi on June 14 granted permission to Punjab police to arrest Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with slain singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder case. The court has also advised Punjab police to ensure the medical examination of the accused Lawrence Bishnoi is lawful before leaving Delhi and also before him being produced before the concerned court of CJM, Mansa, Punjab.

The Delhi court had said, “The applicant Investigation Officer/SP Dharamveer Singh and the investigating agency were directed to take all the appropriate measures for the safety and security of the accused Lawrence Bishnoi during transit till the production of the accused Lawrence Bishnoi before the concerned court at Mansa, Punjab.”
