The 9th edition of the India International Science Festival (IISF) 2023 is scheduled to be held in Faridabad, Haryana, from January 17 to 20, at the Campus of Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) and Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) of the Department of Biotechnology.
IISF 2023 seeks to serve as a forum for varied persons, including students, educators, scientists, researchers, industry experts, entrepreneurs, and scientific communicators, under the topic “Science and Technology Public Outreach in Amrit Kaal.” The event will include 17 topics highlighting scientific advances, with advantages for both participants and the wider public.
The festival promotes interaction among diverse stakeholders via activities such as lectures by national and international experts, interactive sessions, exhibitions, contests, workshops, knowledge-sharing events, and technological demonstrations.
Initiated in 2015 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, IISF is dedicated to fostering creativity in science, technology, and innovation for the advancement of India. Over the years, the festival has evolved into a mega-science event, hosting eight editions in different regions of India. In 2021, the Department of Space and the Department of Atomic Energy joined as integral parts of IISF.
