The Department of Cardiology, PGIMER hosted a 3-day educational program related to Intracoronary Imaging and Physiology in percutaneous coronary intervention, attended by 700 cardiologists. The 4th annual conference of imaging and physiology in coronary intervention (IPCI 2021) was virtually held from 1 to 3 October. Prof Rajesh Vijayvergiya, Department of Cardiology, PGI, who organised the meeting as the course director, said that advances in the technology of coronary imaging were discussed by various national and international faculties. Dr Vijayvergiya said that other than scientific lectures, the meeting also had a live in-box demonstration of cases describing the usage of intra-coronary imaging during coronary angioplasty. A dedicated 5 hours fellow’s course was also held to demonstrate the basic principles and fundamentals of coronary imaging, attended by about 300 fellows/budding cardiologists. The scientific meeting was attended by 150 national and 18 international faculty members. Dr Vijayvergiya explained that PGI always takes forward steps for spreading the knowledge and advances in the interventional cardiology community across the globe. He also said that the Department of cardiology, PGI have all the latest technology and equipment.
