The Congress Party in Maharashtra has undergone a leadership revamp, introducing fresh faces to bolster their presence in the state as they prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. These appointments signify a strategic effort to rejuvenate the party’s leadership in Maharashtra, with a particular emphasis on strengthening their performance in key regions like Vidarbha and Marathwada.
The newly appointed leaders include:
Arif Nasim Khan, responsible for Konkan and Marathwada. Basavraj Patil Murumkar, overseeing Western Maharashtra. Praniti Shinde, in charge of North Maharashtra. Kunal Patil, managing Amravati and Nagpur.
Mohammed Arif Naseem Khan, a prominent member of the state leadership, holds the distinction of being the first Muslim to serve as the Minister of State for Home (Urban) in Maharashtra since the state’s inception in 1960.
