4 arrested for duping people over fraudulent foreign job opportunities

MUMBAI: Four individuals were apprehended by Navi Mumbai Police for swindling approximately Rs 4 crore from 417 unsuspecting job seekers seeking overseas employment. Operating under the guise of GSOS Consultancy in the APMC’s Commodity Exchange Building, these fraudsters took money from job-seekers and then abruptly shuttered their operation. Frustrated victims reported the matter to APMC police, revealing that these scammers, based in Mumbai and Indore, had collectively scammed 417 individuals out of Rs 3.39 crore, promising jobs in foreign hotels. Lina Arora and Vicky Joseph have been arrested and are in police custody until October 11. Investigations continue.
