Life is said to imitate art, as shown by a true-to-life Chinese story that is akin to Bollywood films where the hero discovers his true identity and life of wealth after a life of poverty. The unusual story is about a young man who spent his early years as an orphan only to later find out that he belonged to a millionaire family.
According to South China Morning Post, Shi Qinshuai was kidnapped when he was three months old. The relentless efforts by his parents over Rs 1 crore spent had to wait for 26 long years before they could find their child.
On December 1, Shi met his biological family, changing his life from being an orphan to a cash heir of a rich lineage. His parents were exhilarated at the turn of events and decided to celebrate grandly and present him with keys to several apartments and a car, but to their surprise, Shi rebuffed these lavish gifts.
Instead, he modestly requested only one flat so that he and his wife can start building their future there. Shi explained his decision as, “I do not want my family to lose their grounding after experiencing such affluence.” Despite his affluence background, he still preferred to concentrate on fulfilling only the fundamental needs of his family and continuing his simple life. Shi earns a living through his live-streaming channel.
While some accused Shi of seeking sympathy, others admire his grounded approach and resolve to stay unaffected by wealth. His journey is a testament to resilience and a clear sense of priorities, inspiring many to value humility over material excess.
