In Kerala’s Thiruvalla, two women who were reported missing a few days ago have been found slain in what is thought to be a case of human sacrifice. The women were allegedly kidnapped from Ernakulam and killed near Thiruvalla, according to the police.

Padma and Roslyn, the victims, were “lured” separately by an agent to be sacrificed by a couple.

When Padma vanished from Kadavantra on September 26, a missing case was opened. Roslyn was taken from Kaladi in June, and it was discovered after an investigation that she had been taken in the same way.

As part of the claimed “human sacrifice,” their necks were sliced, and their remains were then buried. The bodies were interred after being divided into pieces. The women supposedly served as sacrifices in order to amass wealth and success.

The agent, Shihab, and the couple, named Bhagaval Singh and his wife Leela, have both been taken into custody.

The police, however, stated that an investigation is underway.

“Two women have been killed. They were killed and buried near their house. The murder was part of a ritualistic human sacrifice. We have information that there is one more case reported. We are trying to ascertain the entire case,” Kochi City Police Commissioner Nagaraju Chakilam said.

“There are many layers to this case. We are now collecting the confession statements from the accused. The exhumation [of bodies] has to be done, and a team has reached the spot to recover the bodies. We now understand that the human sacrifice was made for the financial benefit of the couple. Also, we came to know that the middleman had been paid. One thing is very clear, that the missing lady from Ernakulam is the one who was buried. We need more time to unearth the entire case, and we are also probing into the involvement of more people in the murder,” he added.
