The Markets have opened the week on green terms, with good gains led by IT and Metal

As the long weekend ends, today morning will be an exciting opening for the Indian Stock markets when it trades after a 3-days break. Many parameters have entered the scene, GST and Trump-Putin talks, among others. Let’s keep you updated.

Markets closed on Thursday with flat sentiments. Nifty50 closed on 24,631.30, with +0.04% i.e. 11.95 points and Sensex closed gaining 57.75 points, which is 0.07% up, at 80,597.66.

Nifty50 and Sensex opened up with around 1.30-1.40% gap-up and trade in good gains for now. Sensex gained more than 1100 points to trade at 81,700 and Nifty50 gained 375 points to trade just below 25,000.

The afternoon sees the morning gains drop by a margin. The Nifty50 index held upto 1% gains, trading just below 24,900. Sensex traded at 81,284, with 680 points gain.

Towards the closing, the gains surged for the indices, over 850 points for Sensex and almost 300 points for Nifty50.

18 August, 2025 | The Monday morning sees the spikes the markets waited long for. Pre-opening session hinted the boom gap-up. The opening boosted the trades. The green is here to stay, it seemed. And the gains consolidated towards the closing.
