A 16-year-old boy reportedly died by suicide after failing in two subjects in the CBSE Class-12 exams in Laxmi Nagar, east Delhi. Arjun Saxena was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room in a paying-guest accommodation where he was residing. No suicide note was discovered, and police had to force open the door to access the room.

Originally from Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, Saxena had come to Delhi to prepare for the engineering entrance exam in addition to his Class-12 studies. According to reports from others at the accommodation, he was distressed after failing in two subjects in the recently announced CBSE Class-12 results.

The police have informed Saxena’s family, and his body is currently in a mortuary awaiting post-mortem examination. An investigation is ongoing to determine the exact reason behind his decision to take his own life.
