On Friday, employees of the 108 emergency services associated with the Punjab Employers Association staged a demonstration at Gurudwara Amb Sahib. Family members also participated in the protest.
State President Amandeep Singh, advocating for the rights of the employees, revealed that they have been working for the same company since 2011. However, the company has not increased their wages for the past ten years. They believed that the government would regularize their employment, but the government did not pay attention to their demands. This has compelled them to go on strike. Singh mentioned that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, in his speech, had promised job security for every employee and vowed to eliminate temporary employment. Despite the current government coming to power with a slogan of corruption-free governance, the employees have not received any assurance from the government beyond rhetoric. 108 Emergency Service employees associated with the Punjab Employers Association have been on strike since November 16. To avoid inconveniencing the public, employees are still working during the hunger strike. The State President stated that today he tried to meet with SSP Dr. Sandeep Garg to file a case against the company, but the meeting could not take place. He submitted a memorandum to Suman Bali, the Director of Punjab Health System Corporation, and returned with assurance. They, along with their families, continue the strike, and the protest will persist until their demands are met. The employees of 108 Emergency Services from the Punjab Employers Association are currently staging a dharna outside Gurudwara Amb Sahib.

These demands are not being met.
State President Amandeep stated that according to the agreement, a duty of 8 hours was supposed to be assigned, but they were made to work for 12-12 hours. Overtime is not provided to them. Additionally, there was supposed to be a watchman along with the ambulance staff, but to date, not a single watchman has been appointed.
